Cheese Headquarters !

I almost ran off to go get my beauty sleep, but I realized that this one could not wait a minute longer to reach you all . . . if you have been wondering all these years where on Earth the Sharp Cheese Headquarters was . . . well , now you know. . . it is right here at Dodges Market, on Main Street in the Magic Lantern Show. (Better watch out, am starting to sound like The Prairie Home Companion)

Brilliant find!

The Prairie Home Companion - I had to do a google search on that one. My knowledge of American culture doesn't go that far. Now matter how bilingual you think you are, the colloquialisms still get you in the end. Sigh!

Jill, I guess in this case "MACHINE" must be a compliment... maybe sort of like the machine-like Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz... I'm on a quest, looking for my heart... well, I hope I'm not overwhelming anyone, but since discovering that blogging is the outlet I'd been seeking for years and years without knowing it for finally "publishing" such as it is some of my true life's work (as opposed to what I do to make a living), well, it is as if a big dam has broken open, and you kind and generous readers are finding yourselves downstream of something like the Johnstown Flood... so, if some pieces of weathered driftwood, wrecked cars, drowned animals, and falling down houses wash up on your shores in the process, and a message in a bottle or two, then I will be happy, and consider the machinations of my late nights in front of the PC screen well worth the effort...

Wheewww... that was a mouthful, huh... :D !?!

Nath, (is Nath an acceptable "raccourci" for Nathalie?) So right, so right, the colloquialisms are the hardest part. . . Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion Radio Show was hugely popular in the USA for a long time, he created an imaginary town out in the American midwest, and a wonderful world within it where time was slower than here in the real world... you can find some samples of his shows on You Tube...

I'm about right on Aussie colloquialisms but then there's the whole lot of UK and USA ones... a lifelong project.

PS - dans ma famille on m'appelle Nat, sans H à la fin.

I can now die happy. My quest is over! Finally, The Headquarters for Sharp Cheese has revealed itself to me through The Magic Lantern. Myself and the other Sharp Cheese Heads can now drink the kool-aid. Thanks Jim...( calling Dr. Freud...Calling Dr. Freud )...Oh I mean Owen...(smile)
