Heaven Sent . . .

If you are watching your weight, you may want to skip this one . . . I've been seeing quite a few posts around the blogs about Halloween, so I thought I'd toss in my two cents, even if Halloween isn't really celebrated much in France. Nearly all towns in this country have at least one bakery / patisserie, which I guess one would translate as pastry shop. Strolling by the window of this one in Albert the other day, I couldn't help notice the handwritten label saying "La Sorcière d'Halloween". . . the Halloween Witch, which witch was hiding in among the "Rouge Désir" (Red Desire), the Royals, the Melodies, and other assorted goodies which would put any diet in a shambles quickly. What I really liked here though were the little cupids holding the signs, as though these diabolically sweet concoctions were actually gifts from heaven . . . and as this is only a photo on a blog, I can only invite you to feast your eyes . . . sweet dreams everyone . . .
