Death in Church

In keeping with the Grateful Dead thread woven into the tapestry which this blog is becoming, this detail from a stained glass window in a church in Fribourg, Switzerland fits right in. While visiting Fribourg a few years back I saw this window and was immediately taken with the theme of death coming to visit many of the good people of the town, and the bright, rich colors. I did not take this photo, it is scanned from a small poster which I purchased there, if I remember correctly there were signs saying "No Photography". Anyway, as you can see, no one escapes that skeletal visitor. What did Jim Morrison say ? "No one here gets out alive"
