A Conjugation of Carrots !

La Grenouille went to the market yesterday and came home with a big bunch of carrots. When they were un-bunched we realized there were two of them that just did not want to let go of each other. It would appear that at an early age these two carrots had taken a strong liking for one another and become rather, errr, affectionate. Something very tender about the way they are entwined. Have you ever seen any cases of vegetable love like this ? Are there any laws against same-sex marriage among carrots ? Most carrots seem to be such conformists to the carrot norms of straight lines coming to a point in the usual sort of carrotty conical manner. But these two were obviously trying to start a revolution in the global carrot consciousness. . . if these carrots were humans, they would have been at Woodstock, they would have been reading Tom Robbins, they would have been out skinny dipping in the lake under a full moon while drinking carrot wine . . .
.
And speaking of peace and love, I've been away from all of your blogs for a few days, as was out of town on pleasure, as opposed to business, but I send plenty of orange peace and love to all of you, and I'll be around just as fast as my little toad legs can let me leap . . .

Baby Discovers New Form of Life. . .

Someone out there said they liked "cute"; so will submit this shot of my daughter aged less than one year from 1994 to the vast public blog panel to see if this counts as "cute", "too cute", "extremely cute" or "exceedingly cute" ? ? ? Waiting for your votes to start pouring in as "comments". . . I know flat frogs, dead skunks, various roadkill victims, wrecked cars, plains of tires, cemeteries, and so forth do not all fall exactly into the "cute" category, but I never said I was the cutest guy in the world ; am just telling it like I saw it through the lens of whatever camera I happened to be carrying at the time. For the record, all these older black and white shots were taken with my tried and trusty car wreck survivor Canon A1, purchased way back in 1979 when I was living in sunny South Carolina. Today I'm using much more often a Canon 40D, while waiting to win the lottery so I can by a 5D and maybe a Hasselblad or some such large format behemoth, although I really like travelling light. . .
