Manictown Mania

Please see earlier posting below of a photo titled "Manictown" done by Michael Keropian ; these two reflections I shot in Poitiers, France in 2005 go hand in hand with Mike's excellent photo. In that earlier posting I mentioned how nice Mike's sculptures would look in any room of your house, or in the garden, or in the office... you can see many examples by clicking on his name here. I even heard one report recently that a Michael Keropian sculpture had been spotted in Southeastern Pennsylvania serving as the hood ornament on a car ! Now that is good publicity and a great conversation piece... so, what are you waiting for ? Give Mike a call today !

Michael Keropian ! Sculpteur Par Excellence !

One of the wonderful attributes of the Information Age is that it facilitates chance encounters and serendipitous meetings of minds, ideas, and tangential communications in all directions. A friend of a friend who is a highly talented professional sculptor got in touch today out of the blue with some kind words about this blog, and inviting me to take a look at his website, which I did not waste any time visiting... and would strongly encourage you to do so also if you enjoy fine artwork. You can also get to his site by Googling "Michael Keropian".
.
Mike studied Sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts ; with a long list of artistic accomplishments to his credit he is obviously going strong. Being partial to Frank Zappa's music, I particularly appreciated Michael's sculpture pictured below, a very righteous bust of Mr. Zappa ! On his website there are many more pictures of his sculptures ; he has covered an amazing variety of subjects from doing the tigers for Tiger Stadium in Detroit to a beautiful sculpted portrait of Sitting Bull. So, let's cut to the chase... these sculptures would look great in your living room, in your entrance hall, on your patio, in your bedroom, in your boardroom, by your pool, in your office, well, almost anywhere you can imagine... so get in touch with Mike ASAP, and order a piece or two to spruce up your universe with...

Michael Keropian is also an excellent photographer it turns out, and kindly allowed me to reproduce here this photograph that he took in Provincetown in 2007. Clearly a man after my own heart ! Or me after his ! Whichever ! His caption on it was : "Manictown" Gotta love it. Many thanks Mike for sharing...
