Leaning Dream House of West Virginia . . .

You might be tempted to think that what with me being an amateur photographer and all, that I had inadvertantly tilted the camera when taking this shot. . . but it was not the case . . . this house found on a 1988 trip to West Virginia was leaning at an angle to rival the leaning tower of Pisa. It is a strong candidate for becoming my dream house, although I'm not sure how sleeping on a sloping floor would work out. . .

I wonder if it's still standing. I took long road trips all over that area and was always surpised at the number of ramshackle homes and barns.

Kind of like the Tom Waits song "The piano's been drinking, not me." The house is leaning, not me?

The fence leans one way, the house the other. I wonder at the combination of wind and weather that causes such a phenomenon.

Excellent Walter, that's it exactly, and I love that song by the way !

Ladydi... hard to say... maybe the ground is settling due to coalmines subsiding underground ?

Amy, thanks for dropping by, would love to see photos from your travels in that region... for some reason am not able to open your blog today, getting just the header with the title, but nothing else... strange, hope it will be back as before soon.
