The town of Chantilly, France has organized a banner festival this Spring. A series of paintings has just gone up mounted on light poles through the center of town. I particularly liked this juggling zebra in bright colors. . . well, if you have looked through earlier posts in these pages, you will have realized by now that I have a "thing" for zebras. . . but don't ask me to explain it. . . anyway, it's nice to see a community giving artists a chance to dress up the sidewalk views a little bit. . .

So Chantilly improvised on the theme "ville fleurie". turning the city into "ville drapé" (if yere is some french in this expression. A good initiative and wonderful to learn about this.
Hey Henk ! yeah, it goes hand in hand with your theme of outsider art... I was happy to discover these banners the other day, and made a note to go back and photograph a few as soon as I had a day off... which was yesterday...
