Winter Woods. . .

Back around 1990 or so I saved this painting by John D. from getting trashed. For some reason John decided he didn't like it, and put it out for the trash collectors to haul off. Well, one man's loss is another man's gain, today this painting has a privileged place on my bedroom wall ; another piece in the Phillips Collection France. I love the cold purple winter haze in the distant woods. . . John D. was another member of the arts oriented community living on South Avenue in Media, Pennsylvania at the time, now pretty well scattered.
