Emaline Phillips . . .

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this painting that my grandmother, Emaline Phillips, did many years ago either before I was born or when I was just a wee young lad. During all the years I was growing up it hung in my parents' bedroom, and I used to love to look at it and imagine sailing off in that boat, or riding off in the train, or heading to the beach with the shovel and ball. But those days are long gone, and my grandmother is long gone, and I miss her peaceful harmony. Only a truly kind soul could have painted a picture like this one. . .
