On Monday 27 April, 2009, Jackson Browne performed on stage at the Olympia Theatre in Paris, and for roughly three hours that night cast a magical musical spell that must have resonated far beyond the theatre walls. His incredible trademark voice rang out clear and true as though he was still twenty years old rather than three times that, his presence murmurred simplicity in blue jeans and a plain black shirt, and his music shone bright and pure like all the stars in heaven. For three beautiful hours he played and tugged our heartstrings, varying between intense acoustic pieces and high energy rock and roll that brought the walls down ! Early in the show he said two times how thrilled and awed he was to be playing the Olympia in Paris, a place he'd dreamed of playing for years, and it showed with no shadow of a doubt just how much he wanted to do a simply amazing show for us all. . . he poured his heart and soul into spell-binding renditions of Fountain of Sorrow, Something Fine, Doctor My Eyes, Lives In the Balance, and too many more songs to list here. By all means, if you have a chance to see him perform, don't miss it ! Buy his CDs too ! And I could not resist, as you can well imagine, snapping a few photographs to help give you just a taste, of something fine . . .
And at the very end of the evening, he was just incredibly gracious . . . THANK YOU JACKSON !

Congratulations on an evening well spent!
I love your photos, especially the neon and the event ticket. Yippee!
You are indeed the luckiest sod I have ever not met!! Jackson Browne and I have often dreamed of meeting each other but he won't come down here and I'm too shy and bashful to insist he does so...I actually got Time the Conquerer CD last weekend and was bemused to see him with grey hair, beard...from your photos he's holding together well for an ol' geezer and still fills his jeans in a very nice manner. I'm soooo jealous right now!! :-)
great photos - captures the excitement! He does look good; has anyone studied whether love of music keeps us young?
salut Owen ! Pas grave si tu me trouves C.. !... Les photos, tu les sort d'où ? Elles sont géniales... surtout une où tu vois le guitariste en plein riff !
Mais t'es passé où ? En week-end déjà ?
Ciao amigo ! See toi later !
Dear Fram, It was great... have you ever come across him out there in California ? His two Acoustic CDs, Vol I and Vol II are both excellent, not that you need more stuff to burden your boxes with...
Sagit, should have hopped over to Paris, it's just a short 20 hour flight, right ? No problem... enjoyed your comment, we were all amazed at how young he was looking. My daughter wanted to know if he uses hair coloring... but wow, he can still sing like ever! Signed, Sod
Bill, I'm sure you're on to something there, music and laughter must play a role in the fountain of youth...
