Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall . . .

It was so hot in Paris today that we stopped in an ice cream place in the heat of the afternoon. This mirror on the wall there was sending subliminal signals to me saying . . . "photograph me, please photograph me, it's been so long since anyone noticed me, for what I am, a magical mirror, instead of just noticing their own vain selves in my reflective surface... photograph me, please photograph me. . .". .. And so I did :

This picture is special. It is almost a tease. It makes you want to know more about what is not seen in the reflection, like who owns that beautiful arm and what are the ice creamm flavors available! It captures the wonder of the mirror well.

I'm glad you listened and photographed it. It's lovely...and hopefully the ice cream was delicious.

Slightly Dali-esque with the (seemingly) disembodied arm and the ice cream cones looking like sea-shells.

Really like this shot!... really atmospheric! I could get lost in it just imagining the things behind the little hints in the reflection....

Un miroir peut être "rassurant"... mais pose la question à Oedipe !
Sinon, t'as réalisé un superbe cliché avec des couleurs qui me "télétransportent" dans les années 20... J'y étais ! ! !
Ton talent photographique est indéniable !
Avec mon imagination, j'y vois même comme un visage... des restes de l'arrosoir certainement !...

I love it ! ( voilà, c'est mon quota "rosbeef" )

A plus AmigOwen !

Really like this photograph Zoom....The arm on the counter is quite wonderful and sensuous and I agree it does indeed make you want to know more about the owner of the arm and the only clue that this taken in an ice cream shop are the cones at the end of the counter.
This really is a fabulous shot!

Beautiful photo! The wall in harmony with the reflection in the mirror which in turn echoes the ice cream cones. and I agree with Lone Grey Squirrel: the arm extended into the picture is lovely and gives a focus to it.

Hey, wow, I'm really glad this photo works for you all, it did for me... the arm belonged to a very attractive spanish speaking woman with dark eyes... but I was there for ice cream, remember ? There was some magic in the air around that mirror... the flowers, the brown wall, the cones, the napkin dispenser, yeah, this one's a "keeper"...

Sorry for this "global" response, but a storm dumped water in the basement, had to clean it up... so in any case, stop back SOON, next time maybe there will be ice cream out with the coffee ! BTW, the ice cream here was excellent, came in flavors like apricot, lemon, passion fruit, pineapple, banana, coffee, as well as vanilla and chocolate... yum !

Very, very nice photo. Actually, it's magnificent and wonderful. Great eye you have, though maybe you should be seen by a psychiatrist for the voices.
