Reflecting on Reflections . . .

After a Merry "M" Marathon with the "M" post below, it's back to bloomin' blogging business, which as you may be starting to realize by now, at the Magic Lantern Show, that means just about anything goes. . . well, almost anything . . .
.
So, for something new and entirely different, by travelling via India, where Loulou's Indiaphragme is guaranteed for beautiful photographs all day, every day (she doesn't take any bad ones), I somehow found myself in a rainstorm in Canada, where Mountain Momma and friends have started up a photo blog which is open to all comers. So, if you're game, get on over there, and before the end of May, send her a photo on the theme of "Reflections". I did just now, and got a very friendly answer back almost before I'd sent the photo. . . it's as if she knew it was on the way. . .
.
So, while still reflecting on the serendipitous crossing of paths that seems to happen often in the blogosphere, here is another "reflections" oriented photo for you, this one from Brittany, France, just a few short weeks ago . . .

Owen,
the colours you have captured are wonderful. There is a watery quality to the stone building image, as if looking into a moat.
What creates the green around the inside of the window frame?

Happy Days

Hi Paris, thank you !

Delwyn, lovely to have visitors from the far side of the globe... well, the glass was rather old, green hued glass, so I think the green around the inside of the frame is just the reflection of the stone outside the frame... with a green tint imparted by the glass. And the old glass is far from smooth, like glass is today, so it creates that dreamy, watery effect... I love to look for old glass to do reflections in. If you go way back in the back posts to a few on Bruges, in Belgium, there is reflection shot in a window in Bruges I like alot... with a very distorted effect, which is totally natural, no photoshopping or anything...

Dear Owen, you know how much I like reflection thema. All the pictures you posted already on that topic are really beautiful, not amazing, nor nice, simply beautiful. You were able to capture something unique, the magic lantern is magic.

PS - a WARM thank you for your note re Indiaphragme.... lovely!

See you
Loulou

Encore lui ! Aaaaaaaaahhhhh Non !

Ciao a M igo !...
