When I happened upon this idyllic setting in eastern France in 1991, I thought I might have at long last found the dream house I've been looking for all my life, and am still seeking. . . but oh drat !, this one was already inhabited by a pair of very ornery mules who weren't about to share it with any interlopers like me. I really liked the looks of this place ; one airy room for all purposes, the bathing trough outside, big windows, shade trees . . . what more could one want in a dream house ? ? ?
.
Just an aside on this, when we were little (which dates me somewhat) Richard Nixon was in the process of bringing eternal ridicule upon himself and the office of president of the United States. Somehow we figured out that his middle name (which should have been "Mud" by then) was in fact Milhous. Through some joyous twist of teenage depravity, we transformed that to "Mulehouse", and for weeks on end regaled each other by calling him Richard "Mulehouse" Nixon. So when I saw this place I couldn't help but think. . . "Ahhh, at long last, the true Mulehouse of our youth !"

Hi Owen... whilst ruminating on Death and Mexico over the last few days which was all started with that Doll Cemetery stuff, two other things occurred yom that might be of interest to you
1) The Death Museum in Aguascalientes ( opened last year I think...haven't been yet )
2) The cult surrounding Santa Muerte ( Saint Death ) which is growing rapidly here in Mexico... keep meaning to visit some of their altars but they are in very dodgy parts of town!!
Yup! Those mules don't look they want house guests to me!
Tiens, ... on t'as pris en photo...! Bon, ça va... elle était trop facile celle-là !
Ciao Amigo... mais attends... c'est pas moi à côté ? et le droit à l'image ! Hein !...
Wow, what an impressive blog you have here! Wonderful photography! I sure hope you'll consider joining my color carnival photo meme! - Yep, that was an official invitation, not that you needed one, it's open for all to play :-)
Puts a whole new spin on "Honey, get yo' ass outta bed", however if one was in a stable relationship I guess it would work.
