Let There Be Neon Smiles !

There is reason to be happy; hump day is behind us, it is clear sailing now toward the weekend. . . Even this neon square head was drooling a big dribble of pleasure. You wouldn't believe me if I told you what time I took this picture this morning, coming home from another late night at the... office... Although I've driven by the place hundreds of times, for some reason I never looked in my rear view mirror at just the right time and angle to spot this sign well off the road in a side parking lot of a gritty commercial area. . . that I tend to never look at going by.
.
.

And if you've been reading the press this week, as I admit I sometimes do, you have no doubt noticed the appalling stories about Farrah Fawcett's private medical data being leaked by the hospital she was being treated at to the tabloid press. How revolting. This neon sign of a faucet, presumably a leaky one that needs fixing, had me thinking about all that. Reminded me of Bob Dylan's song "Idiot Wind", where he says, "Someone's got it in for me, they're leaking stories to the press" . . .

Is the drool coming from it's mouth or nose?!

Humans will be humans. Clear sailing toward a rainy weekend, yay!

Ciel, May showers bring June flowers, right ?!? Or was it April showers? Anyway, the garden needed a good drink... so, let it rain !

Laurie, you've got it... photography is entirely about making light of the universe... !

Steve, you need to see past the drool to the inner light of this blocked up being... but yes, anatomically speaking, hard to say where the drip is originating, or maybe it is a flame advertising a good gas heater to help him warm up and overcome the cold that is making his nose run??? At least he has a bright rosy outlook on life, and I'll never go by that place again without saying "hi" to him now...

Ah Bill, Dylan goes straight to my heart every time... in fact, he's just shivering a little perhaps, after being subjected to a little too much "Idiot Wind"...

Nice pictures and interesting connections. I like the Fawcett - Faucet connection.

Hi Owen :) Nice pictures. Thanks for visiting me and following. You have a lovely blog!
I read off your profile that you love La Maison Du Chocolat in Paris...Me too! My daughter was living in Paris for 6 months as a model and I was lucky enough to visit her. Paris is a beautiful city! La Maison was one of our stopping points...LOL
So nice to meet you and you are welcome at my blog any time :)

Ciao Owen !

That was some leap to Fawcett! I always liked her. From her early days, she was a nice person and seems to have been perpetually dodging the bad press up to this day.

Good morning Owen from Delwyn down in Qld Au,

Thankyou for finding and following me so that I have in turn found you.

Now, I will return later after I have finished throwing weights around and myself around at the gym and have a coffee with you.
Til then
Happy Days

Truly "flash" photography.

P.S., Owen: Farrah was just on the news reading a prepared statement that she wants her final days to be witnessed by the public; she feels it may help others to face what she is going through. I hope they use some discreet editing.

Hello to all, after a long day at work, I just want to thank each and every one of you for your support and encouragement... and come back soon, hear, the coffee's always on...

Now, there are a few photos that want posting, they won't let me sleep otherwise, an army of squirrels keeps bringing me mysterious photos and insisting I publish them, otherwise they start pelting me with walnuts... I'm hoping their leader, a lone grey squirrel, may be able to rein them in a bit, because they are running amuck and wreaking squirrel havoc... :-D (see new link in Fun Blog list to "Realm of the Lone Grey Squirrel)
