Something to Reflect On . . .

.
If you haven't been there before, I'd highly recommend a little visit to James' place, Newtown Area Photo, which is happening in south-eastern Pennsylvania, not far from where I was born, so I have a slight sentimental attachment to the region. James is doing some simply gorgeous photographs of that part of the world. And the icing on his blogcake is the Weekend Reflections series he's been running for some time now, which is drawing people from all over the world to participate and observe. Every weekend he opens up the gate, and the links to reflection themed photos come flooding in like summer sun on a South Sea island . . . which is to say, bright and colorful. Well, when the sun shines, you may be wanting a hat, so here is my entry for this week's reflections over at James' photo bar . . .
.

And with a little less reflection, more hats to choose from if you didn't find your pleasure in the first lot . . .
.

And with one of those colorful hats, you may be needing a sun dress as well, if you're of the fairer sex . . .
.

There were some reflections going on with these grafitti shots as well, which I had to go nearly to the end of the world and get my feet wet to bring back for you . . .
.

.
.

.
.

Owen, Oh, the colours (or colors as your know them). Thankfully, I purchased a pair of sunglasses this week or I might have been in trouble - blindingly brilliant!

Wowzers! I'm gonna get me one of those swell chapeaux and fancy lahdy-miss-mahdy-doodah dresses, check out my reflection in Laurie's sunglasses, and head off in my new Saturday-go-to-meetin' outfit to peer into them windows down in Pennsylvania and beyond. Yessir, I think I'll make quite a splash in my new get-up, especially if I follow in your toady footsteps.

It would dazzle me these days going into a shop with so much choice. I could literally be there the whole day and try on their complete range of hats - meanwhile Mr FF would have lost the will to live

What a small world, Owen! The reason i started following James' blog was because he was showing pics from where i last lived. Originally from NJ just across the river. :) Lizzy

love those graffiti shots! and.. those dresses! As a life long non -dress wearing girl.. I would be seriously tempted to change my ways! (and reduce my hip size to fit them!)

The colors of the clothes look like in the Hawaiian islands. Nice hats tool. I like the reflections and the different scenes you found to photograph so you caught the reflections. Reflections are hard to get good pictures of in my opinion.

Love your reflections! The graffiti ones are spectacular. I hope you didn't get too wet getting these shots! :=}

Oh, and I'll take one of those hats too.

I love James' blog too! I hopped over one day from here and have been an avid follower ever since. Not just because of the local, though that is what first sparked my interest, but because of his wonderful take on it all.

I love your colorful shots. All of them. I would love to order a chapeau rouge and a sun dress outfit. Maybe I could find a matching pair of Ed Hardy's to complete my fantasy ensemble.

Love the whimsy here and how it makes me feel this morning!

The colors in your photos really grab my attention. Then I noticed the shapes. It's a really treat to see them. I especially enjoyed the grafitti shots. Thank for getting your feet wet. :)

Time was indeed a good one, when people still used to wear a head.

Upon reflection I decided I liked those colurful photos very much, they are vibrant and happy and obviously mirror you in them. Amen.

Extremely good use of colour, and resplendid in every acute detail.

I'm guessing those lovely hats were available for sale somewhere other than north of Paris. It has always been my wish to have a wonderful hat, but alas, either they don't suit or I have nowhere to wear it. Always very pretty to look at, especially in your excellent photos. I particularly liked the first graffiti picture!

J'aime beaucoup l'harmonie des couleurs des trois premières .

To speak as though from the south of the US, where I once lived also for a long while in Memphis Tennessee, "Y'all are jest too much fun !"

From lahdy-miss-mahdy-doodah to all who'd like to go shopping here, I'm just tickled pink and blue and orange and green, a whole rainbow of being tickled that you good people drop in here and leave a kind word or two... come one, come all, yer all welcome at the Lantern, by tricycle, by jaguar, by donkey, by sail, by mouse, come on along to the Dew Drop Inn, and stay awhile, the party doesn't stop in blogland, it just goes on and on... a theme I may expand on here shortly.

And for those who wondered where this was, all the photos here are from la Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean from February. The hat store is in the southern town of Saint Louis de la Réunion, near the cathedral...

So, a myriad of "Thank You's" for your kindness and compliments... and we'll see what mischief the magic lantern will be getting into next...

Voilà de bien belles " réflections" que tu nous livres là, Owen, agréables comme toujours, et très jolies;
Je n'ai pas bien compris si les photos de chapeaux sont réalisées par toi ou par ton ami?

qui peut resister devant de tels reflets brulant dans toutes les couleurs du paradis? so lovely -

and you made me smile again, dear Owen, how i like your light, sunny and humourous style - not to say that i like it less when you deal with very serious topics :-)
