Blue Bird of Happiness ? Blue Bird of Sorrow ?

While walking in a cemetery in Paris on the 8th of August, 2008, came across a child's tomb where this blue bird was winging its way to eternity. Had never seen a tomb decoration quite like this one. It brought back memories of blue jays that could be frequently seen around Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but which don't seem to make trans-Atlantic migrations like I did. May whoever the young soul was who is buried here rest in peace...
