Reflection illusions . . .

Across from cathedral
Oil on canvas suspended in air
Plate glass as translucent mirror
Sky and clouds in paint
Merge with  sky in window
Seamlessly seeming to be
But all is illusion
Digital image regurgitates
Giving a glimpse
Around the world
Of colors on a screen
But what does it mean
How far is the distance
Between meaning
And meaningless ?
Cathedral in stone
Speaks of ancient rites
From another age
An age of stone
And superstition
While we deal and reel
In reflections
Illusions

L'église est à Treguier, dans le Finisterre Nord, Bretagne... et cela vaut le détour, plein de jolies choses dedans...

Ah Tréguier ! Je connais cette église, parce que je l'ai visitée au cours de mon tour de Bretagne (j'étais étudiante)... C'était il y une quinzaine d'année à peu près. J'ai gardé le souvenir d'un petit restau familial là-bas excellentissime. A la bonne franquette, hein, donc des plat simples (saucisse frite-maison, etc.) La dame faisait par ailleurs une sauce normande à base de cidre crème fraîche champignon à tomber par terre...

(soupir)

Bon, il va falloir que je retourne voir Tréguier, je sens.
