Postcards From Distant Stars . . .

.
How to describe the decibels of delight when a collection of postcards appeared in the postal snail mail the other day, depicting the works of two simply fabulous and faithful bloggers, day in and day out they each post a new photo, with stunning subject matter and texture and colors galore, everything one can drool over quietly when savoring fine photography. You've perhaps guessed by now that the postcards came from Loulou of Indiaphragme and Arnaud of Random Shots. If by any chance you haven't visited their blogs already, please do, and while there, take a moment to delve into the archives, for both have large numbers of beautiful photos going back over the past year and a half at least. Here is just a little sample of what came in the mail. . . Thanks Loulou ! Merci Arnaud ! Namasté !

Quelle chance Owen ! :)

The pictures are so colorful. The man is napping in what would be a car with no engine. True manual transportation.

Oooh! Lucky you! Postcards are always fun to get, and these are of special importance and beauty. Thanks for sharing the bounty here. Loulou and Arnaud have the most stunning photos on their blogs: an exotic treat I allow myself to indulge in regularly.

Well, congratulations to you for those lovely lovely gifts! How colorful and bright they are. I'm sure you will enjoy their company... as they will enjoy yours. And thank you for sharing the great talent of Loulou and Arnaud. I've seen their names mentioned on your blog a few times... and they are definitely worth the visit.

Have a lovely weekend, Owen.

I marvel at those blogs where photographers manage to put up such a quality work every day. Those colors are delicious and surely could brighten even the dullest day. What a lovely gift to receive. I love to collect postcards myself especially the ones that push color to it's limit.

Fabulous colours, what a feast for the eyes! I'm not sure I could find such vibrant colours in any of the postcards we have on offer down here! Maybe I should make my own.....

J'ai atterri chez Loulou sur tes conseils Owen, et je prendrai des vols réguliers dorénavant.

Bon week-end, Taud Family.

Hi Prya, I guess you have such colors all around you ? And yes indeed, very LUCKY me !
:-)

Steve, for sure, these go way beyond the usual definition of "warm" colors ! You could cook your dinner over these postcards !

K'line, la chance sourit par moments, mais rarement si généreusement !

Hi TechnoB., I'm thinking the world needs more such manual transportation, and less petroleum based motion... what is going on in the gulf of Mexico is yet another cautionary tale...

Dear Louciao, you do like to indulge in all sorts of things, don't you ?!? Well, one cannot over indulge when it comes to treats like Loulou and Arnaud...

Hi Distracted !

They are certainly two to bookmark... hope all is well in Sin City...

Deborah, connections are the best part of blogging I'm beginning to believe...

Hi Clytie,
They are worth going back, and back, and back... I've been doing so for over a year now, no signs of tiring...

Bonjour Namaki, extremely delicious, one can get addicted to such colors !

Dear Nevine,
I'm plotting a way to continue enjoying the company of these cards, I'm thinking they need to be framed under glass in a layout to show them off.

And I don't know if you might have been aware, or not, that Loulou also has done some beautiful photography in Egypt, which she shared with us here :

If you have a moment do take a look... she has incredible intuition for photos, sort of like you have with words...

Be well Nevine, your visits always bring a smile...

Hi Margaret ! Some very nice friends out there indeed, indeed, amazing the way the web works... magic even. May all your goats kick up their heels in good health !

Hey StickUp... (I admit, I chuckle every time I type that, thinking, I wonder how many banks she robbed today !) It's wonderful when unexpected surprises show up in the mail... and they are both realio trulio color magicians...

===============

Dear Saj,
Can't wait to see what you come up with in making your own, for I'm sure you've got some colorful material to work with down under there... already your tipples are so full of color, every color under the sun is what I see after partaking of a few...

Bonjour Catherine !
Le mieux c'est de se provisionner d'une carte abonnement qui donne des "frequent flyer miles"... car on devient addict à de tels spectacles....

Et merci pour tes voeux d'un bon weekend pour le Taud Family ! Tu me fais rire... Et si nous sommes des tauds, je suppose que notre maison est un vrai taudis ???

Coucou Owen! Happy the cards brought joy and colours to your home sweet home ;-)
I promised and you got them. It is also a tribute for you because you never stopped encouraging me....
Again thank you, hope to see you next summer, for a round 2 in Jardin des Tuileries? Why not?
Take care, have wonderful Sunday... will have a look ont the light reflections post which seems to be full of promises again.
bises

Ah Loulou ! There you are !!!

Always a pleasure when you stop by... was hoping you'd see the small montage of your (and Arnaud's) lovely cards. Still can't believe how kind of you to send them... Am going to have to get them framed, so as to enjoy them up on a wall here...
Namasté...

Yes Loulou and Arnaud are two very talented photographers - and the ground they tread on is so rich in photo opportunities it's almost unfair! :-)
