Light Reflections . . .

.
Do drop in at James' Newtown Area Photo for the Weekend Reflections series every week. It is becoming a regular virtual town meeting place for alot of folks from all over who love reflected images. And few do them better than James, he's got a real talent for spotting those odd moments when light does double duty.
.
As for the below reflections, they were spotted in Albert, France a few months back, and have been waiting patiently to get on stage here. I wish I'd have been able to photograph Bob Marley other than in a holographic poster image in a storefront window. At least we still have his music to listen to. Sigh.

Is it live or is it Memorex?
Great stuff!! Too good to be true (because it isn't. True, I mean; it is good.) It would have taken me hours in Photoshop to try to get that superimposed yet integrated effect. I also like the mix of the black and white with the colour. Yup. Fun stuff.

That first one especially caught my eye! This reminds me that I need to look at windows more, I know I pass way too many reflections by.

On reflection, perhaps I should be more observant!

I was looking for Spanish and South American blogs and I found some neat ones on your blog roll :)
Lets see what else I find....

ps: In the previous post, someone has described the colours as 'scorching':D I never thought of it that way, but perhaps it is to non Indian eyes!
I really wonder what adjective would be used to describe the colours of an Indian wedding. Psychedelic perhaps?

The Marley gig looks amazing!

Good shots! Quite a contrast between Marley and an old French town.
I'll get over to James' blog soon.

Ain't that the truth. Your reflection shot rocks!

Both images are just wonderful Owen. I think you are giving James a run for his money! I like reflections too but don't do them nearly so well.

I really like these - too bad you don't have a reflection of the real deal!!!

I have been participating in Weekend Reflections for several months now. I appreciate James and his meme so much, I find I look at things very differently since participating!

Many thanks ! James reflections are always a good time...

And I was truly amazed how the camera's digital captor so seamlessly merged Marley into the reflected scene here, his dreadlocks into the trees, the brick buildings so neatly remaining in the background... and no photoshopping whatsoever here... just strange light effects...

A very intriguing way of seeing images, Owen. This might prompt me into doing some of the same...

I love your new banner photo, Owen!

The Bob Marley in Bricktown is cool and the highrise workers' breakroom shot combines you and the reproduction of said photo in the living room of the penthouse in St. Denis. What a wonderful coincidence!

Great reflections Owen! For some reason one of the buildings reminds me of Doylestown, pa. Bob Marley was a favorite of mine many years ago, infact I had dredlocks myself for while in the early/mid 80's.

The top photo is my absolute favorite. The trick of course is to position yourself perfectly right in relation to the background and the reflection. This one works like a beauty!

No amount of post processing could have achieved a better result ! Just magic !
