After the Party . . .

After the housewarming party at 524 Blogland lane last night, a truck came around early this morning to collect the empty bottles . . . you can guess from the quantity of bottles involved how thirsty a crowd it was ! ! ! Although, if truth be told, certain visitors from New Zealand and Canada, not to mention any names, polished off enough for ten normal people !
.
(In fact, this photo is from a 1997 trip to Haiti. . . where it can get fairly hot, requiring serious efforts at emptying bottles to remain properly hydrated. . . )

Hi Owen,
Could you please check? I think I am lying intoxicated in your castle's dungeon or is it a wine cellar?

For god sake, I wonder if they are already as efficient when it comes to share up the milk for the children (lol).

About you adventures in the human waste ocean, i knew of a Swedish guy lucky enough such as for enjoying a refreshing splash in a stinking filth like that, and he was not alone, follow this link:

Nice photo...(I don't think I could have handled a party like that.)

Steve, let me know if you'd like me to pass you an aspirin and the pepto-bismol... :-D (just wait 'til I get around to publishing the photos of you dancing a striptease number on the main dining room table !)

=============

Lynne, no memories at all ??? You must have gotten into the "Phillips Milk of Amnesia" again... :-)

=============

Dedene, not so bad maybe, a gueule de bois, I have a gueule de jungle !

=============

Elise, a million thank you's, for you visit and these kind words, you are very welcome to dance you way over here any time ! The more the merrier, right ?

==============

Hi Jo, All I can say is, I wouldn't want to be around this truck if it had to slam on the breaks !

==============

Dear LGS, we'll send out a search party. In fact, it may very well be the part of the dungeon known as "les oubliettes", where they send people who have forgotten everything... or more like where they send people they want to forget about for a long long time, or permanently. We need to get you out of there ! Hopefully a few cups of sunflower seeds will have you feeling better in no time !

=============

Alberto Oliver, what a dreadful story ! A good thing they were able to get out, because it doesn't sound like there were any life savers nearby, or anyone to throw one if there were ! Good thing they could rinse off in the river !!! Thanks for the story !
:-D

-K-, Fortunately parties like this only happen once in a very blue moon...

=============

Amy, it was, it was; are you also adding yourself to the list of those who were there but can't remember ? :-D (your pirate punch was excellent, but oooohhhh, my head still hurts !)

=============

Bonjour Marguerite, take your time ! Glad you had a great time !!! :-D

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! LOL! Milk of Amnesia! So that was the minty chaser you were handing out in those gold-rimmed shot glasses. It's beginning to come back to me now...kind of a greaseful, queasy feeling...

Where happened to all MY empites then, that looks just like enough for Louciao.....

Last time I had real champange was more than a decade ago, New Year's Eve, in the middle of a forest, blankets, hot tea and a bottle French champagne.
Thank you for the memory returning.
Please have a nice start into the new week, with a much quiter house I assume.

I didn't drink at your party and I still got all disoriented touring the castle. It's amazing how the noise from the crowd was completely cut off from parts of your pad.

Thanks again for your hospitality.

I think I might have made off with some of those bottles ... erm they weren't empty. Well, not when I got back to my hot air balloon which appears to be drifting and those bottles are indeed quite empty now, great party Owen. Smiles*!*

Owen said...

Hi Lydia, it's easy to get lost in there, we're working on a GPS device to hand out to houseguests so you'll be able to find your way around...

=========

Dear Saj, empites or empties, it's ok, I know it's hard to type straight after a night of hard partying ! As for where your empties went ? Don't you remember ? You kept tossing them down the wishing well, while mumbling something about "luggy sogs", couldn't quite make out what you were saying... ;-D

===========

Ahh Lynne, you are such a RIOT !!! Where do you come up with this stuff... greaseful queasy feeling... could almost be a hit song title !

=========

Hey Harry, next time can you come over to do the music ??? That would be great, and the Watercats can come too, we'll set up a stage in the big hall... ;-D

=========

Hi Robert, well, we'll have to get another truckload of full bottles in to replace these, and invite you over if it's been that long ! A great week to you too !

==========

Owen said...

Hi Bimbimbie ! Full bottles make great ballast for hot air balloons, but I hope you were able to descend again once they were all empty ! :-)

Bimbimbie said...

... landing was a little bumpy but empty bottles still in one piece ;)

Caroline said...

Hi Owen, it's Caroline from 7984 - neighbour in Blogland Lane. Thanks for your visit to my blog. Darn it, how did I miss your party? Oh well, we'll just have to have a another on the beach soon - can you arrange this truck again?

Owen said...

Hi Caroline, I'll call them right away, they can usually deliver up to three truckloads of bottles on very short notice... :-D Sounds great, a beach party !
