While out on a little bit of a ramble this afternoon along Brittany's northwestern coast, I stumbled on this window in a churchyard which I couldn't resist a quick shot of for Reflections Weekend. Hope you enjoy, and have a wonderful weekend yourself full of fine reflections !

And here's the whole window . . .

Very nice, thank you!
ReplyDeleteAmazing color assortment! And the reflection on the other hand looks like a monochrome...
ReplyDeleteOwen, your photography never ceases to astound me!
Ciao
Las fotos son preciosas, ganas me dan de pintarlas. Felicidades. Saludos cariñosos. Victoria.
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic to come upon a shot like this one! The colors are so, vivid and beautiful as are the flowers. The reflections are wonderful! What a superb capture! Thanks for sharing this one! Have a wonderful weekend, Owen!

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteFine capture ! Good find !
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of colors in your first photo as concerns the flowers-on-frame juxtaposition!
ReplyDeleteAs always, your reflections are beautiful.
Great pic Owen, and even greater your nice wish. Of course,, i wish you the very same, and lots of fun and joy. Keep well and have a wonderful weekend as well dear friend !!
ReplyDeleteSuperbes clichés ; je suis juste un peu surprise de voir la fenêtre d'une maisonnette donner aussi directement sur un cimetière...
ReplyDeleteIs that a huge crucifx reflected on the right side of the window?
ReplyDeleteThe reflections are interesting, but it's the wonderful texture of the stone and the gorgeous colors of the window and flowers that got me!
ReplyDeleteI want that window at our little hippie house. I like the whole thing including the flowers.
ReplyDeleteCharming composition, the window reflection is beautiful, great work with your camera!

Good eye. That was a wonderful composition.
ReplyDeleteOn the first one - There is the orange cross with the those amazingly perfect flowers and leaves, and in the upper right window pane there is a reflection of what looks like a crucifix atop of what must be a church. Or is it my imagination working overtime? I see Steve up there sees it too.
ReplyDeleteThat just floored me!
Perfection!! Exactly what I needed to spur me out of this heat funk :>)
ReplyDeleteLa 1ère photo est très chouette!
ReplyDeleteWhat an inpsired colour combination! I wonder if it was intentional.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, but the cropping just makes it pop! I adore the colors you captured. Merci!
ReplyDeleteNice pics! Especially the first one. Its colours are so vivid!

Have a nice day*******
Yup. The cruciform shape of the window frame, the reflection of the crucifix in the upper right hand corner, the brilliant colours, the shadow and light, the crispness of focus. You captured it all artfully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful window. These are so nice Owen. I especially like the top photo.
ReplyDeleteLes fenêtres offrent parfois des reflets surprenants (vue sur le cimetière et petit bout du photographe pour la 1ère photo)
ReplyDeleteSuperbes photos.
Great color and the reflections are cool...Peace
ReplyDeleteI like the layers. The second image adds much with the texture of the wall. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteTo one and all, I can only thank you profusely for the above flood of kind words which light up my heart here...
ReplyDeleteAfter spending all day yesterday on the island of Ouessant, and today at the third annual world championship of artichoke throwing, this evening at a creperie, tomorrow it is back on the road home from Brittany, and back to work on Tuesday. Have a ton of things to blog about just from this past week alone... slowly, but surely, will get there... In the meanwhile, I thank you for your good company here along the blog highway...
Merci profondement à toutes et a tous, votre gentilesse me touche en plein coeur... à bientôt...
Whoa, that bar keeps getting higher (the photography one I mean...altho' I guess if one imbibes enough the other bar gets higher too....)
ReplyDeleteI love both shots, but the top one more. Looking at the reflection is like looking through the window... into a whole other world... where we plunge... and fall into lovely images... and stay. The colors on both shots are amazing... and brilliant... and summer-fine!
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your traveling and shooting, Owen. Actually, I know you are! :-)
Nevine
the first one is really amazing, one seems to be caught in an endless reflection chain, the reflection of the cross of the cross of the cross, a borgesian labyrinthine world...
ReplyDeletea rich opening for reflection(s), if i may re-use your pun :-)
Un cimetière,
ReplyDeleteDes fleurs,
De la couleur,
j'aime bien.
Comment ça déjà reparti ? Mais je ne vous ai point vu !
Dois-je avouer que j'ai été très occupée.
Je vous espère ressourcé !
I like the contrast of the red window pane and the light blue sky... this is a good windo.
ReplyDeleteAh Saj, Nevine, Roxana, Sar@h, Amy,
ReplyDeleteMy deepest, warmest thanks... merci profondement...
This window looks like it hasn't been opened too often in the recent times but that's a good thing. The shot is wonderful. Congratulations for spotting the reflection. Your shot is quite unique !
