I'm sure you would have spent hours, you're j...Amy, I'm sure you would have spent hours, you're just going to have to come on over... there are flea markets around the outskirts of Paris all year round, and then all over the rest of the country there is always a local one going on somewhere... it's big business here, but lots of fun. I did bring home just one treasure... I was VERY reasonable... an old sign from the 1930s, not very big, rusty, just the way I like them... will have to remember to take a picture of it...

Lynne, thanks a million for the reference to Michael de Meng, I was not familiar with him, and I see he has an incredible web site which will merit closer study... I will be back there, have marked it as a "favorite"... Boxer Rebellion ! I think he and I may have some DNA in common. And keep on smiling, if I can help in that department, then it is all worthwhile...

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go !Owenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12622587942009516590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8855510751016957422.post-83662784167826190302009-05-12T10:04:00.000+02:002009-05-12T10:04:00.000+02:00Surprenant isn't it !...
"Mystères à Porquerolles"...Surprenant isn't it !...

Ciao Owen ! Excellente journée !
A bientôt !jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14706496619691322297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8855510751016957422.post-49653255298435607592009-05-12T05:36:00.000+02:002009-05-12T05:36:00.000+02:00Just look at those beauties! I mean, not necessarily sleeping with a smile on my face, but at least heading off there with a grin.

BTW-Do you know the work of assemblage artist Michael de Meng? He is very much into the Mexican Day of the Dead, and doing weirdly wonderful things with doll parts, rust, jumble sale finds--transforming them into shrines, totems, etc. Not kitsch!Lynne with an ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00320166770541319601noreply@blogger.com
